On June 22nd 2014 Modern Art Projects (MAP) presented BLACKMODULAR (first edition) in the house of artists David Haines and Joyce Hinterding, in Lawson Blue Mountains. This is part of a unique program of events that explores the curation of contemporary art in unique domestic architecture and gardens.
BLACKMODULAR is the first edition of a series of exhibitions that Haines and Hinterding have put together. There are no written artist statements just the work in the house. No curatorial objectives other than showing work they both love.
You can find out more about the house and studio, which was designed by the artists and built by Phillip Ascott in 2006: View the HAINES/HINTERDING architecture page.
